Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Tickets - Sold Out

We can now confirm - having hit the web store software with a stick full of nails until the Grots crawled out - Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Tickets sold out fully on the day of release.

The confusion over the past week arose when the software lost count of tickets sold and we had to stop all sales while checking orders, to avoid dissapointing people by selling them a ticket and later informing them that there was actually no space for them at the event. As it turns out this was the correct thing to do as we had sold out in record time.

Our apologies for the confusion and any conflicting messages you may have heard - if you didn't get a ticket then better luck next time!

Following last year's Fortress board, the Logistics and Scenery Team here have to do something big for their Games Day feature table.

13 tables, which combine to one massive gaming board or 7 smaller segments.

As a teaser here's their plan and some work in progress (click on image for larger view), see the whole thing at Games Day and then you can reserve and game on selected boards at Warhammer World.

Imperial Guard Exhibition now open

With a wide range of regiments to choose from and opportunity to create your own, striking images and detailed background, Imperial Guard are a great choice for one of our Art and Design Exhibitions. The release of a new codex seemed like a good time, as we can show off the classic, existing and new all together.

With archive artwork and miniatures stretching back to the 1980's and a couple of armies on loan from staff, there's hardly space left in the cabinets!

The Exhibition is open daily with free admission until July 13th, although access and contents may vary with special events or items removed for use by the Design Studio.

Great Guest Displays in Citadel Miniatures Hall

There's now two new Guest Armies on display, so along with Paul Corcoran's Orks - there's three great reasons to revisit the Citadel Miniatures Hall whether you prefer Warhammer or 40K.
Bretonnians and Chaos Space Marines, by Justin Read and Rob Peck - both Hobbyists who show what a little hard work and a lot of thought can achieve.

Where else can you see a Valkyrie, new Imperial Guard, new War of The Ring, Guest displays....

Between the New Releases cabinet and Neil Hodgson's Guest Display there's plenty of reasons to take a trip to the Citadel Miniatures Hall at the moment.

Been Infected Yet?

The Citadel Miniatures Hall guest display of Huw Davies' Nurgle Chaos Marines is due to finish on March 27th, having been so well recieved that we've already extended the display once. This excellently gross army is highly converted and painted to a very high standard, as well as being Huw's first army and indeed his first attempt at hobby at all. Blood Ravens deployment area

Two of our guest display cabinets in the Citadel Miniatures Hall have been requisitioned by Rik Turner's constantly growing Blood Raven army, admired by many at last year's Games Day and soon to be seen in the forthcoming White Dwarf.
The army is on daily display until 2nd April 2009, admission is free.

Wildcard Winners now revealed.

After some deliberation, the recipients of the 2008-9 Throne of Skulls Grand Final Wild Card tickets have been chosen, and are as we speak being informed of their imminent attendance of the event.

New Guest Display Infects Citadel Miniatures Hall

Huw Davies' Nurgle Chaos Space Marine Army is highly converted, painted to a great standard and a disturbing example of Nurgle at it's finest.

The thing which makes this display very special is that Huw had no hobby experience before starting work on the army, so it's a great chance to see what can be achieved when you put your mind to it. For more pictures and an article about Huw's work and his influcences see this article.

The display is open daily in the Citadel Miniatures Hall until the end of March.

Paul Scott's 'Renegades of Nurgle'

Now in the Citadel Miniatures Hall staff member Paul Scott has his Chaos Space Marines on display, a horribly fascinating set of subtle conversions with an attention grabbing Greater Demon. Having seen his army at the recent Warhammer 40,000 GT Heat three, we had to offer Paul the chance to share it with more people. This was his first dabble with Green Stuff, so for those of you yet to try conversions, it's a great example of what can be done.

The Renergades will be on display until December the 12th.
