A few tweaks before New Year

There's been a bit of work going on with the blog in the run up to 2010. These can be found to the left in the What, When and Where section.

• New directions sheet, with extra details for those walking, cycling or interested in public transport.

• Improved "Virtual Tour" - it's nothing flashy but there's a photo album of images showing just a few of the highlights before you come and see for yourself.

• There's a new calendar available, which colour codes each day so that you can plan a visit knowing how busy we will be and what facilities are available. This also has dates for our own tournaments, so you can plan time off work and prepare those vital excuses for partners and parents about why you HAVE to come here.

Christmas Closures

Although everyone here loves their jobs we have to go home sometime, so over the festive period Warhammer World and Bugmans Bar will be closed:

• December 25th
• January 1st

On the 26th The Hobby Centre, Gaming Arena, Citadel Miniatures Hall and Exhibition will still be available as usual, but Bugman's Bar and the food service will be unavailable.

Hobby camp photos now online

Those of you who have joined us over the past few weeks for our Hobby camps, or those of you who are  a bit nosey and want to see what all the fuss is - the photographs of work in progress, dramatic battles, Slayer Sword swinging hobbyists and general fun are now all edited and uploaded here.

Reduced Service and Closure 7th to 11th and 16th to 19th of September

Dear Customers,

From the 7th to the 11th of September the Citadel Miniatures Hall will be closed for a  deep clean. Other services will be open as usual. 

From the 16th to the 19th of September Warhammer World will be hosting two internal business events. Unfortunately this means some of our services will be limited or unavailable, including total closure of the venue on Thursday the 17th.

Warhammer World Store activities

Those great guys who run our Hobby Centres keep up a series of events, activities and games throughout the year - here at Warhammer World they do all you would expect and then some! In May there's games, painting sessions, a conversion clinic, parent's evening, entire days dedicated to your favourite system and an ongoing painting project competition.

Improving The Warhammer World Hobby Bar Service.

From June the 1st 2009 we will be making important changes to how we provide our Hobby Bar service at Warhammer World.

These changes are focused at improving the existing service that we provide to you, our customers.

13th to 17th of April Hobby Camp Cancelled

Because everyone for the Easter Hobby Camps wants to come between the 6th to the 10th we have decided to cancel the second week. It's not an easy decision to make, but it wouldn't be fair on anyone who wants to attend that week as they wouldn't have the great experience of playing different opponents and chatting to new people.

There's still some places left for the first week though and we'd love to see you here over Easter. For details and booking forms please check here.
