Whet Your Games Day Appetite

Each year for Games Day we produce an exclusive miniature, which is included in the price of your Games Day ticket and only available with the ticket. 

We currently have this year's exclusive miniature on display in the Citadel Miniatures Hall, as well as a selection of miniatures from previous years. It's the perfect chance to come and have a look at the Space Marine Captain and his thunder hammer to prepare some painting ideas for when you get your miniature and Games Day ticket.

Thunderhawk and Dark Angels land in Miniatures Hall

Now on display in the Citadel Miniatures Hall is Owen Rees' Dark Angels army and his wonderful army centerpiece, a Thunderhawk Gunship. About 20 inches long we could only just fit it the cabinet! Owen recently won best painted army with this force and once you see it, you'll understand why - the underside of his Thunderhawk is as well painted as the top, and our mirrored cabinet lets you see all the detail. 

The army is on display until September and currently we also have Paul Mansfield's Empire Army and Colin Parson's Bretonnians, but only until August 15th!

Warhammer 40,000 Hobby Camps Fully Booked

We've had a huge amout of interest in our Warhammer World Hobby Camps this summer, and as a result both of our Warhammer 40,000 Camps are now fully booked!

We still have a limited number of places on our Warhammer Camps - taking place on the weeks of 4th and 25th August - but they are filling up                                                    fast, so make sure you don't miss out!

Call to Arms Rules Pack Online

The rules pack for the 2008 Call to Arms event is now available.

School League Finals

Today a rather warm Warhammer World saw the School League Finals take place, with teams from Schools, Colleges and even a Library competing for the title of School League Champions. The spectators mucked in with the gamers, and the atmosphere in the Gaming Hall was one of sportsmanship and having a laugh. Thanks to all those who helped, and for those  all important results and photographs see the album on the left. 

2008 Warhammer Doubles Results Online

This past weekend was the 2008 Warhammer Fantasy Doubles Tournament.

104 teams took part over 7 grueling games to see who could come out the victor.

28th July Hobby Camp Fully Booked

Due to a huge demand on places, the first ever Warhammer World Summer Hobby Camp - due to begin on 28th July - is now fully booked.

Places are still available on all 3 other Summer Camps, but they are filling up quickly, so make sure you don't miss out.

Warhammer Doubles House Rules now up for grabs!

Without further ado, the House Rules Document is now up for the forthcoming Warhammer Doubles Event.

Silver Hammers and Bretonnians Hit Citadel Miniatures Hall

Now on display in the Citadel Minaitures Hall are two excellent guest Warhammer armies. Paul Mansfield's Empire Army and Colin Parson's Bretonnians.

Paul is a hobbyist from Derby and this army has been nominated for Best Painted at every Warhammer Grand Tournament at both the heats and finals for the last two years. Paul's army is full of conversions like this standard bearer and knights, all of which bear their iconic silver hammers. The piece truely worth seeing is his War Altar - an Arch Lector atop a War Wagon pulled by zealous Flagellants.

Colin painted the Bretonnian army for another hobbyist, who believes that they deserve to get out and get Colin some recognition for his detailed painting. The army is composed to showcase all the Bretonnian forces, from disposable peasants through to spotless Grail Knights. Attention to detail makes each miniature a minor masterpiece - designed and painted specifically to look good when in rank the massed army is breath taking.

Out on display until August - don't miss this chance for converting and painting  inspiration.

Studio Open Day This Saturday

This Saturday - 14th June - sees Games Workshop's Studio department putting on a fantastic Open Day for visitors to the Warhammer World venue.

There will be lots of great things to see and do throughout the day, including sneak peeks of some upcoming products, and a chance to chat with our team of designers and studio staff.
