Paul Scott's 'Renegades of Nurgle'

Now in the Citadel Miniatures Hall staff member Paul Scott has his Chaos Space Marines on display, a horribly fascinating set of subtle conversions with an attention grabbing Greater Demon. Having seen his army at the recent Warhammer 40,000 GT Heat three, we had to offer Paul the chance to share it with more people. This was his first dabble with Green Stuff, so for those of you yet to try conversions, it's a great example of what can be done.

The Renergades will be on display until December the 12th.

New Release Orks and Lizardmen on Display

Now in the Citadel Miniatures Hall, our New Release cabinet is full of miniatures so new, there's not been enough time to paint them! Some sharp visitors have noticed plastic and metal alongside the 'Eavy Metal painted miniatures.

Anyone for a Dwarf in a Cage?

Not a new item on Bugman's Bar food menu, but the entertaining new guest display from Chris Kirk, winner of Best Army at Warhammer Grand Tournament heat 1.

Orcs beating each other over the head while in rank, squigs bounding in random directions and a highly distinctive standard, with a dangling Dwarf manacled to a pole. Alongside the numerous caged Dwarfs hanging angrily from trees this is not an army to miss - a great example of the spirit of Warhammer.

Chris' army is on display until the 9th of January.

Matt Hooton's Display - Now or Never!

In a change to the advertised date, Matt Hooton's Guest Display in the Citadel Miniatures Hall will be coming to a close this Friday - the 21st.

Filling two cabinets, the pick of Matt's collection combines individual miniatures, dioramas and armies, including two Golden Demon winners on display with the trophies themselves.

These beautiful examples of the hobby are well worth the effort for a last minute visit, to inspire you further see the photo gallery.

Last Chance to see Jes Goodwin Exhibition

Our current Art and Deisgn Exhibtion is Jes Goodwin's concept sketches and greens, containing previously unseen work right up to designs for the new Warrios of Chaos.

This has been one of our most popular exhibitions yet, the mass of drawings providing an insight into how our miniatures are designed as well as being beautiful and fascinating art in their own right.

The exhibition will be coming down on Monday the 24th of November, to make way for the Warhammer 25th Anniversary display.

   

A Change in House Rules Policy

Anyone who enters a Warhammer World Event can expect to have access to an apropriate House Rules Document to help them with any queries they may have about a particular event or rules question.

As Warhammer World strives for improvements in our event offer, so too do we endeavour to produce the best House Rules Documents we can with the resources we have available. This has often involved the Warhammer World Events team, dedicated hobbyists from the community and various members of the Games Development team within Games Workshop's design studio.

What has become apparent is that I have tried different ways of ensuring that I have rules documents available for a given deadline with varying degrees of success. After the recent heats for the Throne of Skulls Grand Tournaments, I have made a decision regarding what is the best way for me to deliver these documents to the players in time for the event, as well as to avoid over-burdening the people who have the responsibility of delivering it.

One Simply Doesn't Walk into Mordor...

At last! The forces of darkness have been vanquished and we finally have an event pack up for download on the blog!

Golden Demon Winner's Display

To celebrate the winner's of this year's UK Golden Demons we will have a special display in the Citadel  Miniatures Hall from the 4th of April until the 29th of May. This might seem a long time after the UK Games Day but we've planned the display to inspire hobbyists to prepare their own entries just in time for the 2009 Golden Demons.

Also if you have a long way to travel it is worth making plans now as it's a rare opportunity to see an excellent collection of winning miniatures without the jostling crowds.
